Iron & Pine made a splash at the prestigious Royal Highland Show, showcasing our innovative modular holiday accommodation and celebrating the best of Dumfries & Galloway.
As first-time exhibitors, we were a bit nervous about how our debut would go. However, we were blown away by the positive feedback and interest we received from visitors. The show was a resounding success, allowing us to connect with potential customers, industry professionals, and fellow exhibitors.
We worked closely with several local brands to decorate our unit, including Liz McQueen Art, Apothecally, We Make Pots, and Nest. To encourage visitors to our stand, we offered a spin-the-wheel game with fantastic prizes donated by local businesses, such as a handmade knife using materials from our workshop from Clement Knives, a meat hamper from Kilnford, a two-night stay at Galloway Luxury Lodges, and a Scents of Galloway hamper from Apothecally.
In addition to our exhibition, we hosted a cake and fizz event for members of Scottish Agritourism. This was a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and have insightful conversations about the sector. We also hosted an agri quiz with popular farming podcasters Farming Funny, Charlotte Ashley Farm, Olly Blogs, Rural 2 Kitchen, and our very own Luke and Alistair.
We were impressed by the passion and enthusiasm of the agricultural community and are proud to have been a part of such a vibrant and dynamic sector.
Overall, our experience at the Royal Highland Show was fantastic. We are already looking forward to returning next year and continuing to build on the momentum we have gained.
