Our modular home workshop construction is complete

We have successfully completed the workshop construction of our latest project: a unique, seven-container modular home on the Isle of Coll. This innovative build showcases the company’s commitment to sustainable living, innovative design and providing local employment.

The modular home, featuring a stunning glass façade and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, is equipped with a range of sustainable features including very high levels of insulation, solar panels, an air source heat pump and mechanical ventilation and heat recovery. The project represents a significant milestone for us, demonstrating our ability to deliver high-quality, eco-friendly homes in a timely and efficient manner.

“This has been an incredibly exciting project for us,” said Alistair Fell, Co-founder of Iron & Pine. “We’ve been working closely with the homeowners, Doug and Jane MacDowall and our planning and design partners Prospus Group to create a truly special and sustainable living space. The modular construction process has allowed us to complete the build in just 12 weeks, which is a testament to the efficiency and flexibility of this approach.”

The next phase of the project will involve reassembling the units on-site. Iron & Pine’s team of experienced construction professionals will oversee the process, ensuring a seamless and efficient installation.

“We’re looking forward to seeing this beautiful home come to life on the Isle of Coll,” said Luke Mazs, Co-founder of Iron & Pine. “Our team will be heading up to the island tomorrow to begin the installation process, which we anticipate will take approximately 10 days. We believe that modular construction offers a sustainable and efficient way to provide high-quality housing, and we’re committed to leading the way in this innovative field.”

Iron & Pine is renowned for its sustainable, cost-effective, and luxurious modular construction solutions. Their innovative approach to design and construction ensures projects are completed efficiently and to the highest specifications.
